Eugene Gallaher Scholarship Submissions

The Green McAdoo Cultural Organization is offering current seniors a scholarship opportunity for a one time payment of $1,200. To qualify for the scholarship, the student must be a current senior, must fulfill the essay requirements, and must be willing to attend a scholarship dinner in June. Essays must be emailed to avelk@clintontn.net noting which school you are from.

“The constitutional answer written by the people who live there…”

The 1956 news program, “Edward R. Murrow’s See it Now,” did an episode on the Clinton Desegregation Crisis titled, “Clinton and the Law.” At the top of the special, Murrow describes it as, “merely a record of one community written by the people who live there.” Watch the 52 minute film on Youtube and answer these questions. Whose words resonated with you the most and why? Whose words did you find the most dangerous and why? What are the next steps we need to take as a country in order to achieve a, “more perfect union” as described in the Constitution?
